So today was great I spent the day at Happy Homebrewer and I brewed the Vienna & Centennial Fresh Hop Ale aswell as trying out a different brewing technique called Parti-gyle which Duncan told me about. Essentially mash the spent grain after you drain the wort up to 4 times allowing you to make a big beer and a little, or a couple similar. In this case I added some Dark Munich, Honey Malt, and Carafoam to the mash. UK Golding hops for a bittering addition during a 60 minute boil and then into the fermenter.
Both brews looked amazing, and this was my first time using the new mash tun and it’s looking like a solid 75% Efficiency for the day (I’m still trying to figure out the numbers lol) but there was no major fowl ups and no stuck sparge
