Non-Adhesive, Customizable Label Sleeves Review
A very simple way to really make your home brewed beverage really pop is a custom label. There are many free online label makers out there to help you design and print a great custom label and then you need to stick it on the bottle. You can do this in many different ways such i.e. glue stick, tape, rubber band, and even milk is a proven method. However each method has it’s drawbacks whether it’s a residue or glue left behind or the label falls off the minute it gets a little humid (and if you use a bubble jet printer the ink runs the moment it see’s moisture as well)
FastLabel is a Non-Adhesive bottle sleeve that you place the bottle and label in, and then you dip in boiling water or use a heat gun to shrink the sleeve tight to the bottle. The shrink sleeve creates a water resistant cover over the label and if you like you can trim the sleeve top and bottom so it is just big enough to cover the label. I personally did not do that because I felt it looked better whole. A real advantage to using these sleeves is once your done with the bottle you can just take a knife and cut the sleeve off and the label is reusable for another bottle. Definitely a nice way to add that extra little touch.
Over all I found this bottle sleeve to be very easy to use, and it works well. The sleeves took a couple bottles to get the hang of how to dip them best, ultimately I found a pot large enough for the bottle to sumberge on a angle to the neck at a rolling simmer was perfect. If your looking for a label solution i would recomend this product.
