I’m finally enjoying my very first home grown fresh hopped ale! And it is good! This is the Vienna & Centennial Fresh Hopped Ale.
I used a commercial Zeus pellet for a controlled bittering addition so I could focus on the aroma and flavors without worrying too much about the IBU’s (I loves me some hop bombs!) so that it’s a nice quaffable ale. The grist for this recipe is very basic with only Vienna Malt and hops, The intention was initially to do a SMaSH Ale with the Centennial but I had none on had and just substituted. That being said however this beer is wonderful, nice light body and great color. The aromas are a definitely quite pronounced and there is a slight resiny fresh taste to it as well. I have given out quite a few of these already and have gotten some great responses from everyone
