Time for a beer review!
Tonight I’m drinking the winner from the CAMRA BC Amateur Brew competition’s Beer
Produced in a limited run from Phillips Brewing Company I have King of the Carboy Glen Marshall American IPA
Pouring this beer I was surprised at how carbonated it was and not a lot of aroma too it at first. But once I started to drink it and break through the copious amounts of thick fluffy head sitting on top of the beer it was quite aromatic, with pine, mango, and slightly fruity notes and very welcoming. The flavor is also nicely hopped with a crisp body with lots of fruity hoppiness and a slight bitter twist at the end. It is an amazing American IPA imho with the hops just bursting out once you get past the delicious head and into the beer and just keeps you wanting more.
I could definitely see a few of these going down quite easily and would absolutely recommend this beer to hop heads or hop curious individuals, Mel likes it and said it was not too bitter and very hoppy.
I would definitely buy this again.
Congradulations to Glen Marshall on your winning Best in Show aswell as Best IPA in the category, this truly is an outstanding beer
